Heart of Jesus..........September 18

"It is such a folly to pass one's time fretting instead of resting quietly on the heart of Jesus."

St. Therese of Lisieux

(This is a 5-fold booklet holy card.
This means you open the first page to the left, the second page to the right, two smaller pages, and then the larger picture in the middle. Be sure to double click to see it enlarged.)

Friends,

Here is my best effort at translating the French. I apologize in advance if I have erred.

LEFT-REAR FLAP (words that are visible):
Union of prayers.
Jesus Christ is the vine. We are the branches.
"Truly, I say to you: If two of you agree on Earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

LEFT-FRONT FLAP:
The greatest proof of love is to suffer and die for him whom one loves.

CENTER:
Love one another as I have loved you.

RIGHT-FRONT FLAP:
[Sorry, meaning uncertain, but possibly:] One loves as much as he has charity, for God abides in him.

RIGHT-REAR FLAP (words that are visible):
Union of sufferings.
Let us arm ourselves with courage. The Lord is good. It is He who gives strength in the day of tribulation.
As a mother caresses her child, even so shall I comfort you, says the Lord.

John

Wow Micki! What a "rare gem" I have a couple of holy cards that are tri-fold, they are quiet special! I love the quote by Ste. Therese de Lisieux, she is one of my favorite Saints, along with St. Terese of the Andes; also a Carmelite. May Jesus give each of us His grace to pick up our crosses daily and follow Him into Eternity! He is our Joy, Peace and Love! John K.

Chris - Thank you for seeing the beauty in these 5-folds. My pleasure to share.

Irene - A lady of few words...thanks.

John - Thank you....hope people read the comments to read these words....I don't have enough room to put on the front.

John K. - Thank you for always having such inspiring words to add to these cards. Glad you have some 5-folds too....they are so neat and it's hard to believe they could be printed like that way back when.
